Voltucky
is a stunning, champion graded, quality Dutch stallion with
excellent confirmation and attitude to work. He has those very
elastic, powerful, 'up hill' paces that are so highly prized
in a dressage horse. Voltucky added to his 1998 SHB (GB)
Champion Young Stallion grading success by becoming 1999 SHB
(GB) Champion Non T.B. with an incredibly high overall grading
mark of 9.25. He was also the 1999 SHB (GB) Champion 6 year
old Dressage Stallion. His jumping ability is simply superb,
and if he wasn't pursuing a dressage career, he would undoubtedly
follow in the footsteps of his sire and excel jumping. |
Voltucky's
¾ brother Equador was leader of the 1996 Dutch
jumping index. The sire Voltaire won many Grand Prix'
around the world with Emile Hendriks and holds the top
sire title of Keur. He is directly related to many top class
sport horses including World Cup winner For Pleasure. Voltaire
stands very high on both the Dutch jumping and dressage index
and in 1996 was ranked 2nd in the world. He had more offspring
at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics than any other sire and is well
known for producing highly talented, easy to ride sport horses
such as the international Aladdin, Concorde, Cozumel, Dante,
Don Dudley, Etaire, Evoltaire, Electra, Especiale, Ecoloog,
El Campeons Quality Time, Falstaff, Finesse, Foltaire, Frauenheld,
Gyltaire, Mezcalero, Play It Again, Vivaldi, etc…
Voltaire's
sire Furioso II has produced a staggering 125 graded
sons, and having earned over D3m, is the top money winner in
his progeny for all stallions at stud in Germany born before
1969.
Voltaire's
dam Gogo Moeve is a full sister to the very good sport
horses Von Grey Boy and Goldhunter III and dam
of Fandango R, P.S., Falkan and Petite
Fleur. Her sire Gottard, prolific sire of jumpers
and one of the first stallions to have progeny winnings over
D1m, has offspring competing world wide including Gringo,
Gammon, Goldika, Goya, Genius and Queensway.
The dam's sire Joost, awarded Preferent status, was a
Grand Prix jumper of some considerable note and consistently
sired outstanding jumpers including VIP, Palfrenier,
Ultrazon etc… Joost's sire Consul
sired amongst others the great dressage horse of the 1980's
Granat. Consul's sire Cottage Son XX is
one of the founders of the best jumping lines in Holstein and
is also found twice in the pedigree of Maximillian Saluut.
The
material grandsire is the legendary Lucky Boy (Preferent).
He ran 27 times, being 1st or 2nd on 16 occasions. A glamorous
Thoroughbred, he consistently produced supple movement, incredible
jumping ability and a plucky willingness to work in his offspring.
At the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics 3 of his offspring were competing
for different countries and another 2 were reserves! At the
1987 Nations Cup at Spruce Meadows the winning American team
was made up of 3 Lucky Boy progeny!! |
Without
a doubt Voltucky is stamping his offspring
to an incredibly high degree with his beautiful head, correct
limbs and very harmonious confirmation. Their movement is stunning
- very flamboyant, supple and 'off the ground' with their outlook
being bold, friendly, alert and extremely trainable. With his
outstanding pedigree, movement, and jump, Voltucky
is proving to be an excellent and popular dressage and jumping
sire. |
